About us
The Lithuanian Comparative Literature Association, founded on January 13, 2005, brings together literary specialists, scholars, and researchers in Lithuania and other countries, who work in the field of comparative literary studies. The Association is a member of the international European Society of Comparative Literature.
The association, whose board members met at the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences until 2019, has moved to a new location: the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore, whose strategic directions include comparative literature as a primary concern.
The Association's objectives
To participate in comparative studies, intensify such studies, and conduct individual interdisciplinary comparative research in higher education institutions, universities, and research centers in Lithuania and other countries;
To interact with groups dealing with comparative literature in other countries;
To organize and participate in scientific conferences, seminars, and training courses, as well as work on projects with researchers from other countries;
To give methodological support to LCLA members, as well as to gather and share information;
Publication of comparative literature as well as other types of publications;
To use comparative literature findings in pedagogical practice and to promote them to the general public.
Members
